A London -based company for artificial intelligence (AI) creates more than 100 new jobs in Belfast.
Napier AI, which offers anti-money laundering and antifinance compliance solutions for crimes, builds a new office in Belfast and creates 106 jobs.
The company, founded in London in 2015, offers artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to improve the compliance with financial crime for banks.
The new office in Belfast, which the other options of Warsaw in Poland and Porto and Lisbon in Portugal triumphed about the other options of Warsaw, will play a key role in the further development of its technologies in the Fintech ecosystem of Northern Ireland.
Around 25 of the roles are already available, with future roles being offered, including software developers, business analysts and program managers.
The Minister of Stormont Economy Caoimhe Archibald welcomed the move.
“Napier’s decision to create a basis in the north is a vote of trust in our qualified workers and successful fintech ecosystem,” she said.
“AI and machine learning change the prevention of financial crime, and this investment improves the call of the north as an emerging center for AI-controlled fintech innovation.
“Invest NI has worked closely with Napier Ai to secure this significant investment, which will create 106 high -quality jobs with average salaries of over 46,000 GBP.
“These roles offer excellent opportunities for local talents, while hybrid work agreements help to ensure greater regional balance and accessibility.”
