Lucy Punch’s great comic turn Amandaland Make compulsively to see-sowbohl for their incredibly self-influenced Alpha-Musen-Possen as well as for a number of fashion selection. A spin-off of the BAFTA Award excellent HometownPresent Amandaland Follow the mereblowded amanda, while she transplanted from plush-chiswick to South Harlesden (or “Soha”, as she describes it). Fortunately, Joanna Lumley resumed her role as Amanda’s mother Felicity Sanderson, a former model that is rarely without a glass of wine or biting comment (also excellent outfits).
The series is not only laughing, also funny, but also with significant in mid-range style. Amanda’s world is polished and perfectly new home is a rainbow from Farrow & Ball Off-Whites, her wardrobe full of sharp blazer, not administered denim and insane paragraphs.
“Everything had to look expensive, but with a small budget,” says Helen Wolfenden, who Amandaland Costume designer of Amanda’s reinvention wardrobe. She looked at High Street brands such as Zara, Marks & Spencer and Mango, who hold on to blazers, friends and knitting clothes in neutral tones – “beige, creams and marine to ensure that it always looks polished”. Wolfenden also set treasures from gene Z-Favored brands, namely a perfect pair of high waist and jeans with wide legs by Stradivarius, which wears amanda with serenity.
Wolfen freed itself to a few mini dresses from self-portrait for Amanda’s date nights for “That Chanel, Setogeether Look”, but without the true luxury price. Oh and paragraphs – very high, from Steve Madden and two wedge straps from Dune. “Amanda is never without her heels,” she says. “I tried to present a few smaller heels and [Lucy Punch, who plays Amanda] said: “Oh no, Amanda needs the high heels.”
“Lucy and I had a lot of conversations and constant WhatsApp exchange and share pictures and ideas,” says Wolfenden. “It was a very collaborative process.”
As for overlaps with punches of personal style? “I would say I’m less girlish than Amanda,” says Punch, who favors Acne Studios, Rachel Comey and “Good Old Zara” in real life. “My style is unkempt, crumpled and much more practical because I have a three-year-old creamy color palettes!”
In order to create the wardrobe for Joanna Lumleys Felicity, Wolfenden chose the V-Ausck jumpers and blouses, loosely tailored, wide pants and super chic. “[Felicity’s style] is not as negotiated as Amanda; It is elegant in an effortless, relaxed way, ”says Wolfenden. Lumley particularly loved a hot border, Cap Sleeve, she wears five in episode. “I’ll take her home with her,” says the costume designer.
Where are the clothes now? I wonder to take into account an attack. “They are super organized – cleaned, steamed, labeled, and hang in bags on rails in a storage unit,” says Wolfenden. “Hopefully for another series.” While we are waiting for another series – and more great outfits – I send the costume designer to find out where every piece of Amanda and Felicity’s best look comes from.
The creamy trench coat
One can assume that this is Amanda’s first time in a school football game, not least because she wears biscuit-colored cashmere and suede-especially a rice dress and a sky-high Kurt Geiger boot. “The heels always sank into the grass,” laughs Wolfenden.
The trench coat in the series looks expensive, but was a wallet find. Wolfen bought it in Multiples because Amanda went over the grass (note: it is mud). The Zara handwriters were selected for their aesthetic attraction, but were quite useful. “[Lucy] Was so grateful for her that it was pretty cold, ”says Wolfenden.
Create the look again:
Chanel style (on a high-street budget)
I think we can all agree that Joanna Lumley looks ten times more expensive. So you will be surprised to know that the jacket is Zara in this scene, not Chanel. Wolfing picked both the jacket and necklace from their own stock, a collection of pieces that they keep in their studio to achieve additional costumes. The blouse comes from Hobbs and their wide -legs come from Marks and Spencer. Interestingly, Felicity avoids an expected loafer for a slip-on coach, also by M&S “She is a cool mother,” says Wolfenden.
Create the look again:
Date Night Chic
Wolfen bought some investment dresses for Amanda’s Date Night look. “[I imagined] She would have spent more for her, ”she says, pointing to this denim tweed dress from Self-Portrait, which she designed with a couple of orange-colored Karen Millen pumps.
With regard to the right tanger pocket, many speculated that it is an archived Mulberry design. It actually comes from another brand – and is currently on sale. “The brand is called Apatchy,” reveals Wolfenden. “You have some really nice bags.”
Create the look again:
Female tailoring
Wolfenden found a perfectly box-shaped Peacoat from Jaeger and combined it with an H&M shirt with H&M friend and wide leg jeans from Stradivarius. “When they carried out the processing, someone from production communicated me and said:” Where does the outfit come from? I want to buy it! “Says Wolfenden.
Create the look again:
The romantic knit -mini dress
“I love all of her look, but this date outfit is my favorite and Lucy,” says Wolfenden of this knitted joke dress, which she obtains from self-portrait. “The [ruffles on the sleeves] Work really well because Lucy is very physical when she is [acting]. “”
Wolfing completed the look with beige dishes from Steve Madden (which it as the most convenient, even with a dizzying heel), a pearl necklace and a structured bag that looks expensive, but actually looks a zara theft. In this scene, Amanda’s normally devastating mother Felicity tells her that she looks “tip-top” the highest compliment.

Happy glamping clothing
Amanda is not a happy motorhome, but she Is A chic. For this scene, Wolfenden opted for Amanda-Fied versions of traditional camping robe. Not an ordinary buffer jacket, Amanda’s is conscience in the waist – and in wonderfully impractical cream. “It took me a long time to find [one] That was elegant enough and not box-shaped, ”says Wolfenden, who chose this Uniqlo number and which she worked with a top and Amanda’s most popular wide-leg jeans from Stradivarius. The last note? This Timberland boots.

Never knowingly suppressed
Football prices at the end of the season? Amanda is not on the shine. The powder puff jacket that she wears in this scene is perfect in character (i.e. uncomfortably inappropriate). Wolfenden found the Ott-Fax-Feather jacket in River Island. “I saw it and thought:” Oh my god, that is so much fun, “she says.” It would keep her warm and, in a way, silly. It definitely felt like a costume, but in a wonderful way. “
Felicity is comparatively mapped in a shimmering jumper, a Chanel-Alike bag made of Zara, her beloved markings and Spencer pants and trainers as well as jewelry from Wolfendens archive.
