A total of 17 sea turtles were stranded last month along the northeastern Atlantic coast of Florida, which were brought to rehabilitation to the Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach, north of West Palm Beach.

It snowed to North Florida, which is extremely rare, and the cold temperatures reached Südflorida. Since the first group, more than a dozen additional turtles have been brought to the Loggerhead Marinelife Center, and other turtle systems in the state have reached capacity.
Veterinarians treat the turtles with antibiotics, liquids and intravenous diet. They all suffered from cold breathtaking, which caused sea turtles to lose mobility and became lethargic. Most turtles are expected to be released into the ocean again in a few weeks.
The Loggerhead Marinelife Center is expecting over 15,000 people on its 20th annual Turtlefest next weekend. The free event focuses on promoting marine protection through interactive educational exhibitions and the life of the sea.
