The Football Association examines the claim that Burnleys Hannibal Mejbri was racist during their championship game on Saturday by a Preston player.
The midfielder said he received “disgusting abuse” during the 0-0 draw from Milutin Osmajic and submitted a complaint with the game officials. Preston said Osmajic “strongly refuted” the claims in a meeting with the match officials after the full-time pipe.

The alleged incident occurred in the middle of the second half of the 0-0 draw when Osmajic was involved in a heated verbal exchange with Mejbri. The Burnley player informed the referee Andrew Kitchen about the incident and later published on social media:
“I won’t be silent about what happened today. I will always call racism when I hear or see him. This is the only way to change as sports and a society. I am a strong person, but nobody should have to experience this disgusting abuse on the field. “
Preston said in a statement: “Milutin Osmajic emphasized the claims of a comment to Hannibal Mejbri in a meeting after the game with today’s play officials. The club would like to thank the Match official for the way you treated the problem and will help with the examination until a conclusion has been found. “
The FA, who has to decide whether to be charged, confirmed that it dealt with the claims.
Kick it out, the anti -discrimination organization, said: “If allegations arise, it will help you to report it immediately and about the correct channels. Hannibal deserves recognition that the referee’s incident has drawn attention. Speaking is great courage. We also recommend the civil servants to follow the correct protocols. We assume that an examination will be carried out quickly and sensitively. “
